There’s also a 450 m3 capacity reserve tank located at the pier’s entrance.

Water is supplied by the city’s Public Services Cooperative (SERVICOOP).

Energy Supply:

Every site have outlets for 380/220 V electrical power.

Generator:

For emergencies, the port administration has a Diesel generator (380 V/220 V, 50 Hz) with automatic operation, providing 90 Kva of power.

Lighting:

The Comandante Luis Piedra Buena Pier has LED lamps on the entire southern side through 25 columns of 8 m height, spaced approximately every 30 m.

Cruise ship docking area has four 25-meter towers with high-power LED reflectors.

The sports boat area has two lighting towers with high-power LED equipment.

Each fixture has photocells for automatic activation.

Internal Transportation Service:

On cruise ship arrival days, the pier offers free transportation service from the pier to its entrance for passengers and crew.

Emergency Medical Services:

Upon each cruise arrival, the site has an ambulance equipped for emergencies, manned by a driver and a paramedic.

Protected area service is provided during the stay, allowing ambulance service for primary care within 5 minutes in case of any eventuality.

Firefighting System:

The pier has a seawater-based firefighting system, propelled by a submersible electric pump (FLYGHT type) generating approximately 6 Kg/cm2 working pressure and an approximate flow rate of 90 m3/hour.

The system covers from the cruise ship docking area to the sports boat area with 2.5″ outlets. There are six outlets on the north docking site and six on the south side. Two are located in the area designated for the Argentine Navy, and two on each side in the sports boat area.
